The War Show / Le dernier morceau
Frances Doresy
Paul Walty
Dates Showing: May 18th - June 24th, 1997

Frances Dorsey of Nova Scotia looks at war and destruction through the wars which have indirectly affected her, using the writings of her father on his time as a soldier during WWII as a starting point. Dorsey's large fabric pieces incorporate a technique known as photo-silkscreen.

Paul Walty of Ontario exhibited a choreography of figures afflicted with 20th century problems such as war, famine and disease. Both artists were in attendance for the opening reception and Dorsey was interviewed on CBC Radio's Weekend A.M.
